Product Description
Gluten-free pasta bamboo pasta - Penne
Penne pasta is derived from the Italian word for 'quill' and is considered one of those rare pasta shapes whose origin is well documented. In 1865, Giovanni Battista Capurro, a pasta maker in San Martino d'Albaro, created it. Today, two main types are recognized: smooth penne lisce and ridged penne rigate. It is traditionally recommended to cook it al dente and it is excellent for saucy dishes (like pesto, marinara, arrabiata).
