What is it good for?
Indian lemongrass, also known as lemon grass or citronella, is an essential oil extracted from the chopped, fresh or wilted leaves and stems. It has deodorizing and calming properties, and is also effective as an insect repellent.
How do we use it?
Air freshening, humidifying, skincare, insect repellent.
Evaporation: To refresh and disinfect the air and keep insects away, add 2-3 drops to the water-filled part of the aroma lamp, the evaporator, or the diffuser.
Aromatherapy Bath: Thoroughly mix 6-10 drops of oil in 1 tablespoon of cream, honey, or bath foam, then add it to the bath water.
Skincare tip: For musculoskeletal discomfort, dissolve 20 drops of essential oil in 2 tablespoons of warmed coconut oil and massage the affected area several times a day.
Pest control: Fill a spray bottle with 1 dl of alcohol, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, and 10 drops each of Indian lemongrass, citronella, peppermint, and geranium oil, then shake the mixture well. The mixture can also be used by spraying it on the skin.
