Production, cultivation
Grape seed oil (Vitis oleum) is produced from the seeds of wine-producing grapes (Vitis vinifera) belonging to the Vitaceae family through cold pressing, sometimes with refining, yielding approximately 5-20%.
Composition, quality
The color of oil is yellowish or yellowish-green. Its main component is the ester of unsaturated linoleic acid (50-60%), alongside other unsaturated (oleic, linolenic acid) and saturated fatty acids (palmitic, stearic acid).
Usage
The oil is light in texture, absorbs well into the skin. It can be easily combined with other fatty oils, but it can also be applied effectively on its own as a base oil for skincare and body care. It is recommended for treating stretch marks and cellulite as well.
