What is it good for?
The essential oil derived from the floral and leafy shoots of geranium has a soothing effect. It can also be effectively used as an insect repellent.
How do we use it?
For air freshening, humidifying, skin care, aromatherapy, and insect repellent.
Evaporation: Place 3-5 drops into the water-filled part of the aroma lamp, diffuser, or vaporizer. It can have a beneficial effect on respiratory health during cold season.
Aromatherapy bath: Thoroughly mix 6-10 drops of essential oil in 1 tablespoon of cream, honey, or bubble bath, then add to the bath water.
Skincare: Dissolve 25 drops of geranium and 10 drops of West Indian sandalwood oil in 50 ml of marigold or almond oil, and thoroughly massage your body with this fragrant blend.
Mouthwash: Dissolve 1 ml geranium oil in 100 ml of 70% alcohol, and add a teaspoonful of the solution to a glass of warm water. Shake well and use regularly as a mouthwash after brushing your teeth.
Face tonic and perfume making: Dissolve 1 ml essential oil in 100 ml of 70% alcohol. Store in a well-sealed glass container.
Insect repellent: pour 1 dl of alcohol, 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 10 drops each of lemon tea tree, citronella, peppermint, and geranium essential oils into a spray bottle, then shake the mixture well. The mixture can be sprayed onto the skin for use.
