Turmeric, originating from India, is traditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine. Our organic turmeric capsules are made from turmeric powder grown in Northern India - where the warm, humid climate allows it to thrive. We consume the roots and rhizomes of the Curcuma longa plant, which give turmeric its distinctive bright yellow-orange color and strong spicy flavor. The capsule shell itself is made from plant-based cellulose.
The washed stems are dried and ground, resulting in a distinctive aroma and yellow powder on the table.
Black pepper contains a natural substance called piperine, which enhances the absorption of curcumin by 2000%.
