    Product Description

Various bioactive substances have been extracted from yarrow by preparing decoctions. Yarrow stem, leaves and flowers contain, among others, flavonoids, coumarins, alkaloids, salicylic acid, terpenes, and tannins.

Improves the functioning of the liver and stomach. Has a mild diuretic effect.

Preparation: Pour 0.5 liters of hot water over 1 tea bag then let it steep for 10 minutes.

    Yarrow

It belongs to the family of apiaceae. Common in meadows, fields, and roadsides, this greyish-green perennial plant can have flowers ranging in color from white to pinkish, emitting a slightly bitter scent in the sun. It has an aromatic, bitter taste. Only the white-flowered yarrow species have medicinal properties.

    Therapeutic effects, uses:

    Internally:

    • Women's issues: Shepherd's purse is known primarily for addressing women's health problems, beneficially affecting the female pelvic organs. It is recommended for young girls with menstrual irregularities or women during menopausal years. It can help with ovarian inflammation, fibroids, and vaginal infections.

    • Effective in supplementary treatment: In such cases, external treatment is also necessary in addition to consuming the tea. In the case of ovarian inflammation, sitz baths are necessary alongside drinking the tea (often the first sitz bath with yarrow significantly reduces the pain, but sustained treatment is needed to reduce inflammation). In the case of fibroids, tea consumption is combined with sitz baths. And in the case of vaginal inflammation, we also irrigate with the tea.

In case of digestive disorders, the anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic effect of yarrow is utilized. It is used for spasmodic gastric, intestinal and hepatic complaints, gastritis. Not a laxative, yet it aids in elimination, ensures regular defecation. Regulates intestinal motility, reduces bloating, improves appetite.

    Circulation:

It may also be effective against venous circulatory disorders and varicose veins as part of blood pressure-lowering teas. Since it also reduces vascular spasms, it may be beneficial in migraine attacks (especially those triggered by weather fronts, in which case the tea should be sipped warm), but it can also be tried as a complementary treatment for angina pectoris.

Urinary tract: Its anti-inflammatory effect can be utilized in a tea blend for bladder infections. It is recommended for children with nighttime bedwetting and can also help alleviate incontinence in elderly people.

    Externally:

    • Gargling: for inflammation of the gums and oral mucosa. Vaginal irrigation for white discharge.

    • As a lotion or compress: Cleanses oily, large-pored skin. It is also suitable for supplemental treatment of eye inflammations, and helps wound healing (leg ulcers). Its alcoholic extract has pain-relieving and muscle-relaxing properties.

Bath treatment: Recommended for hemorrhoids, inflammation of the ovaries, and as an adjunct treatment for fibroids in the form of sitz baths.

Ointment: can be used for eye inflammations and skin inflammations.

    Composition: yarrow.
