The active ingredient of the Tenmag C-vitamin 700 mg plant capsule is L-ascorbic acid (C-vitamin), which is a water-soluble, antioxidant vitamin. There are synthetically produced (D-ascorbic acid) and natural ascorbic acid (L-ascorbic acid) forms. Both forms can be found in dietary supplements, but since the L-isomer is the bioactive form, it has full vitamin activity. Although there is no difference in the mechanism of action of capsule, effervescent tablet, candy, or powder form of C vitamins, it is worth choosing the capsule version, which contains the vitamin in a stable form - i.e. they are less prone to degradation by heat or light. Before making a purchase, always inform yourself about the exact composition of the supplement, look for products containing L-ascorbic acid.
