Grapefruit Seed Extract (Citrus paradisi)
STANDARDIZED 50% BIOFLAVONOIDS AND 40% NARINGIN
The grapefruit tree (Citrus paradisi) native to China is cultivated in Japan, Central America, the Middle East (especially Israel), and the Mediterranean coast of North Africa. The tree belongs to the Rutaceae (or rue) family, can grow up to 6-7 meters in height, and yields yellow, low-calorie fruits. The effect is due to its high polyphenol content, including naringin which gives it the bitter taste. It is important to consider the naringin content of grapefruit seed extract to achieve the desired effect. Therefore, always check this on the packaging!
TEA TREE OIL (MELALEUCA ALTERNIFOLIA)
STANDARDIZED, MICROENCAPSULATED TEA TREE OIL
Melaleuca alternifolia is a 6-meter tall plant native to Australia; the oil extracted from its leaves consists of more than 80 different organic elements (terpinene, pinene, cymene, terpinene-4-ol, cineole). The essential oil is obtained through the steam distillation of the leaves. Steam distillation begins when the tree reaches a height of 1.5-1.8 meters: approximately 18 months to 2 years is needed for the next harvest. The technology of microencapsulation has made its internal application safe.
ROSEMARY (ROSMARINUS OFFICINALIS)
STANDARDIZED 15% CARNOSOL ACID
Rosemary is an evergreen shrub that belongs to the Labiaceae family, with flowers and needle-like leaves, native to the Mediterranean region but now widespread almost everywhere. The plant parts used are the flowering tops, leaves, and flowering tips distilled in steam to obtain essential oil rich in rosmarinic acid.
WHITE THYME (THYMUS VULGARIS)
STANDARDIZED 40% THYMOL AND 20% PARA-CYMENE
Thyme is a plant belonging to the Labiatae family. Its essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the flowering tops. It mainly consists of thymol (30-70%), carvacrol (3-15%), p-cymene, and terpinene.
Nutrients/active ingredients in the daily dose of 2 capsules:
- Grapefruit (Citrus Paradisi) seed extract standardized to 50% bioflavonoids and 40% naringin, 160 mg
- Tea tree oil (Melaleuca alternifolia) microencapsulated essential oil standardized, microencapsulated tea tree oil 12.5 mg
- Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) leaf, dry extract standardized to 15% carnosic acid 55.75 mg
- Garden thyme (Thymus vulgaris) whole plant essential oil standardized to 40% thymol and 20% para-cymene 6.45 mg
Vegetarian product.
Microencapsulation reduced the amount of excipients used in the end product and increased the maximum available quantity of phytochemicals. The microencapsulated active ingredients were placed in Vcaps® - 100% plant-based - capsules.
