    Coconut oil is extracted from the meat of the coconut by pressing, then purified and deodorized. This way, completely pure, odorless coconut oil is obtained. It is great for cooking and baking without significantly altering the usual taste profile. The Hungarian Diabetic Association also recommends it to diabetics as it can provide energy to cells even without the presence of insulin. It is cholesterol-free. It consists of 92% medium-chain saturated fatty acids, so it melts at around 25oC. It is solid at lower temperatures, hence the common name coconut butter.
