The TrueDark® Daylight glasses help prevent the dominance of polluted light from artificial light sources. They effectively block them when you are indoors, working on a computer, watching TV, or spending time in a place where harmful waves of artificial light can affect your performance.
The Daylights lenses are designed from crystal-clear, durable, high-quality polycarbonate material. This results in light arriving at our eyes evenly, in its true clarity, free from light pollution, through scratch-resistant light-reflective lenses. The TrueDark® yellow lenses perfectly block 75% of the blue light rays.
Combined with the TrueDark® Twilight glasses at night, they provide 24-hour protection for our eyes against harmful light rays.
How does it work?
Sunlight also contains blue light waves, which help regulate our sleep/wake cycle, our circadian rhythm, along with other wavelengths of light. However, nowadays we are exposed to an excess of blue light due to artificial lights, which is known as light pollution.
This includes the time spent in front of televisions, phones, and computers, as well as rooms illuminated by artificial, man-made LEDs and fluorescent lights. Even if we just read a book, we do it in artificial light that emits more blue light than natural sunlight. During the day, excessive light pollution has a drastic impact on neurotransmitters and hormones, which are responsible for, among other things, the quality of sleep.
Some parts of the blue spectrum of natural light we are exposed to during the day can actually be beneficial to the human body. TrueDark® Daylights helps find the right light balance in the blue light coming from artificial light sources.
