Product Description
Cumin is actually dried fruit of a plant. These are thin, yellowish-brown, elongated egg-shaped seeds, about 0.25 inch (6 mm) long, with prominent ridges running along the length, with less visible secondary ridges creating a very fine lattice pattern. The timing of planting cumin is determined by the arrival of the monsoon. It is a very important ingredient in several spice blends, chutneys, chili and curry powders. Cumin is particularly popular in Asia, North Africa, and Latin American cuisine. Its distinct aroma is strong, its taste is warm, reminiscent of caraway seeds.
Ingredients: Roman cumin 100%
