NATURA OAT FLOUR Oat flour is produced by grinding ready-made oatmeal and then fractionating it, so the flour contains all the biologically important components found in oatmeal. It is excellent for thickening sauces, soups, making stuffed pastries, and breading. Oats are gluten-free on their own, so bakery products must be supplemented with other flour containing gluten, or wheat gluten. Oat flour mixed with water is sticky and slimy on its own. However, this property is beneficially utilized in the stomach, as the slimy effect protects the stomach lining.
