Heat oil in a small container and insert the metal mold into it. Once it is hot enough, dip it into the batter, making sure it submerges about two-thirds of the way. In the hot oil, the batter quickly separates from the mold, only the first one might need help, loosen it with a fork. They cook in seconds. While still hot, dust them with cinnamon powdered sugar.
