Citronella oil
Cymbopogon nardus
100% pure, tested, essential oil.
Citrus-scented essential oil for aromatherapy. Its effects are backed by folk medicine data.
What is it good for?
The essential oil obtained from the fresh, wilted, or dried leaves and stems of the Ceylon citronella grass has a refreshing and mood-lifting effect. It can also be used for insect repellent purposes.
How do we use it?
For air freshening, humidifying, skincare, cleaning, and insect repellent.
Evaporation: To refresh and disinfect the air and keep insects away, add 2-3 drops to the water-filled part of the aroma lamp, the evaporator, or the diffuser.
Aromatherapy Bath: Thoroughly mix 6-10 drops of oil in 1 tablespoon of cream, honey, or bath foam, then add it to the bath water.
As a rub: to massage painful body parts 1-2 times a day, dissolve 1 ml citronella oil in 50 ml base oil (e.g. Almond).
For the care of skin redness caused by insect bites: Mix 2-2 drops of citronella, cedarwood, and lavender essential oils in 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil (e.g. Apricot kernel, Calendula, Sea buckthorn oil) and gently massage into the skin.
For insect repellent: Place 2-3 drops of oil on a tissue and put the scented tissue near your living area.
Skincare tip: For local treatment of herpes, dissolve 10 drops each of citronella and tea tree oil in 5 teaspoons of base oil (e.g. Jojoba oil), add 3 teaspoons of olive oil and half a tablespoon of honey. Store any unused mixture in the refrigerator.
Cleaning: In a spray bottle, add 4 dl of water, 1 drop of citronella oil, 1 drop of tea tree oil, and 1.5 dl of apple cider vinegar, then shake well!
What is worth mixing?
Base oils (e.g. Almond, Calendula oil), pine, tea tree, cedarwood, and lavender oils.
