The coconut is the fruit of the coconut palm tree, which can grow up to thirty meters tall. The origin of the plant is not completely clear, but Southeast Asia is likely to have been its homeland, from where germinating coconuts capable of sprouting floated on the sea to further, tropical climate areas, and human hands also played a big role in its spread.
