Full spectrum iodine supplementIodine is an essential trace element for humans, required in two forms by the body: iodide and elemental iodine. Both forms are present in the best natural and artificial sources of iodine, but elemental iodine can be unpleasant in taste and smell for many, and is highly volatile. Therefore, we have formulated our full spectrum iodine complex in such a way that it does not contain elemental iodine in its base state, but it is released upon contact with stomach acid. It also contains iodide after the transformation.This product is designed for general iodine supplementation and is not suitable for implementing the so-called iodine prophylaxis (radioactive iodine) in case of nuclear threat. In the event of such an occurrence - which we sincerely hope will not happen - the competent authorities will decide on the distribution of high-dose iodine tablets and the implementation of iodine prophylaxis.
Product Description
For this current product, the manufacturer has chosen Naticol® French marine collagen, specifically its most pre-digested version where the average size of peptides is below 2000 Daltons, hence quickly and fully absorbed. Another crucial difference is that this collagen is Neu5Gc-free, making it recommended even for those strictly following autoimmune diets and avoiding food products derived from mammals due to their Neu5Gc content (collagens are mostly made from pig or cow hides). It contains more glycine compared to pig and cow collagens.
Recommended intake:
Numerous human clinical trials have been conducted with Naticol®, a collagen supplement, indicating that a daily intake of 2.5 - 5 g may be sufficient, but it is best to consume between 5-10 g daily, which is what we recommend. Taking more is possible, of course, but it may offer little additional benefit. It can be easily mixed into any liquid, and has a neutral taste. It works great in a morning smoothie.
