    Product Description

The hop plant has a calming and mild sedative effect. The plant contains essential oils (myrcene, humulene), methylbutenol, resinous substances, hop bitter substances (humulone, lupulone), and flavonoids. Hops are proven to be a good sedative and sleep aid, but they are also used for loss of appetite and stomach problems, as well as for nerve-related diarrhea. They are often combined with other herbal sedatives (such as valerian root). Hops tea is recommended for menopausal issues. In folk medicine, hops were used externally as compresses for ulcers. As first aid, the flowers can be crushed and sprinkled on wounds.
