Product Description
FLAXSEED FLAKES Flaxseed flakes can be consumed for breakfast with sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, a little jam, or fruit, or even flavored with salt. Among the various values found in flaxseeds, the first to be highlighted is the almost unique high content of phytoestrogens in the plant world. After many years of 'experiments' with hormone preparations (primarily in America), it became clear that they are much more suitable for tackling some female problems than synthetic hormones statistically shown to promote breast and other cancers. Flax is one of the most valuable sources of nutrition. It is rich in vitamins A, B, C, D, and E. It contains large quantities of potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, calcium, sulfur, iron, zinc, sodium, copper, fluoride, and iodine among the minerals. Soaked in a little water, it releases a slightly gelatinous juice that strongly resembles egg white. This 'jelly' can be used instead of egg white in minced meat, patties, or fillings by straining it through a sieve.
