The pineapple plant is native to numerous tropical and subtropical countries, including Thailand, Indonesia, Kenya, and Malaysia. Pineapple is the third most important tropical fruit, after bananas and lemons. The fruit was domesticated by South American natives before the arrival of Christopher Columbus in 1493. The term 'pineapple' was used by European explorers to describe the fruit, which resembles a pine cone.
Bromelain is a protein-digesting (protease) enzyme that is naturally found in tropical pineapple fruit, but is most abundant in the fruit's stem. Bromelain makes up roughly half of all the proteins found in the pineapple.
It is important to note that the bromelain in the stem and in the fruit have different (enzymatic) properties. Its discovery dates back to 1875. In the human body, a relatively small but significant amount of bromelain can be absorbed.

GDU (gelatin digestive unit): An enzyme unit is the amount of enzyme that hydrolyzes 1.0 mg of amino nitrogen from gelatin after 20 minutes at pH 4.5 at 45°C.

This inulin has been certified by the International Standardization Organization as 100% natural ingredient (ISO 19657:2017 - Definitions and technical requirements for natural food ingredients).
Dosage recommendation: Take 2-4 capsules daily, preferably before meals, swallowed with plenty of fluid.
Dosage duration: Minimum 60 days, maximum 120 days.
