Prostate-specific antigen (PSA) is produced by the prostate gland. The prostate is located in the pelvis just below the bladder, surrounds the urethra, and plays a significant role in semen production. Changes in the level of prostate-specific antigen provide important information about the prostate's condition. An elevated level above the normal range may indicate pathological (abnormal) conditions such as benign prostatic hyperplasia, prostatitis, or prostate cancer. It is recommended to perform a PSA test at least once a year for all men over 50 years of age! Early detection greatly improves chances of recovery in case of problems! The kit contains all necessary tools for performing the test: • 1 sealed foil pouch containing the test cassette, plastic pipette • 1 vial with 1 ml diluent solution • 1 sterile lancet for blood sampling (finger prick) • 1 alcohol swab • User manual in Hungarian.
