Product Description
Soap nuts are basically fruit, and their seeds are used in Ayurvedic medicine; children do not need to be protected from them if they touch them accidentally. The essence is the plant-based soap hidden in its shell, which is released during washing, cleans, and if we use soap nut shells, this soap dissolves in about 3 "portions" wash after wash. Therefore, 1 laundry bag of nut shells can be used for 3 washes, the last one is usually enough for sweaty, slightly dusty clothes. One dose of "first wash" nuts competes with a lot of detergent on its own, but of course, it's not a miracle worker: it does not remove stains, strong greasy dirt (that's why washing soda is good to use alongside), and requires some kind of bleach additive for white clothes (e.g. bicarbonate of soda). Advantages of soap nut shells: - Very economical: 500g is sufficient for about 100 washes. From the "ragged" shells, a little detergent can often be cooked. - 100% vegan, skin-friendly. - Effective: only requires an additive for stains, extra dirty clothes, and snowy white clothes. - Can be used for all types of textiles because the plant saponin is different from the alkalinity of a traditional laundry soap. You can wash silk, wool with it. And that's why if we make shampoo from it, we don't need vinegar rinse. - Soap nuts are not only environmentally friendly when used, but also after use: compostable or good for dry kindling. - Its production and transportation are ethical and eco-friendly: no pesticides are used for cultivation. The shells are broken by hand. And a container holds a minimum of 8000 kg of soap nuts, covering the 6-month laundry and cleaning needs of 16,000 households. If all this arrived by truck, we would pollute the air multiple times.
