Gábor Szendi's book discusses the risks associated with the daily consumption of food, and the problems they can cause: high blood sugar and insulin levels, various inflammations. It presents scientifically proven, but perhaps less well-known methods to combat even the most frightening immunological diseases. Szendi claims that behind almost every illness, including disorders of the immune system, lies the faulty functioning of mitochondria, so an effective way to stimulate the immune system is to increase both the number and performance of mitochondria. The author elaborates on the nature of influenza epidemics and places particular emphasis on complex and effective defense against the coronavirus. He demonstrates that our lifestyle made the new epidemic particularly devastating, especially among the elderly and chronically ill individuals who have suffered its effects for decades. There is a separate chapter on fighting cancer: reducing deuterium levels and the effectiveness of vitamin C infusion. Szendi believes it is never too late to wake up and we can do a lot to ensure that our immune system truly stands as a strong opponent against various diseases.
