Ingredients: cocoa mass, sweetener: xylitol (birch sugar), cocoa butter, emulsifier: sunflower lecithin, vanilla flavor. Cocoa solids: at least 70%.
What is xylitol?
Its sweetening effect is the same as sugar, but thanks to its low glycemic index, it triggers only minimal insulin response in the body.
It retains its sweet taste even when heated, so it can be used for baking and cooking.
Consuming a larger quantity of it may cause diarrhea and bloating in sensitive individuals. However, this effect is not as strong as with other sweeteners (e.g. sorbitol), so don't let it discourage you from trying it out!
Since it does not provide nutrients for the bacteria living in the mouth, it helps prevent tooth decay.
It reduces appetite and delays the onset of hunger.
