The essence of the paleolithic diet is to eat only what you have evolved to. Paleo cuisine reconstructs the diet of indigenous peoples under modern conditions. 'Reconstruction' because we need to recreate the composition of the diet of indigenous peoples from the available food supply today. But 'reconstruction' also in the sense that we need to adjust the taste and appearance of food to meet the needs of modern humans, using the possibilities of modern cuisine. The peculiarity of Hungarian paleo is that, through paleo breads and pastries, it makes the transition to the paleo diet more comfortable for people accustomed to Western diets.
The early months of the year are characterized by the carnival season, Valentine's Day, a scarcity of fresh vegetables from a nutritional point of view, and the dominance of desired foods in cold weather. We introduce the Venice Carnival as one of Europe's most famous spring festivals, and talk about the history and deeper meaning of Valentine's Day. We publish an article on sprouting, making 'winter' salads, 'paleo' candying, drying, and slow cooking. Our goal is to discuss topics beyond paleo cuisine in a magazine-like manner that is understandable to the general public but also scientifically grounded. Therefore, we write about forgetfulness, its proven effective remedies, and techniques to defend against absentmindedness. The recipes we share reflect the season and the holidays typical of the season. Hence, we present recipes for hearty soups, various roasts, and homemade paleo desserts tailored to Valentine's Day, such as candied fruits, dried fruits, and homemade chocolate desserts. We illustrate this with phase photos, as beginners in this area may even be unsure where to start.
